About Me

I grew up in several suburbs of Sydney as a child with my younger brother and my parents.
It was a pretty normal suburban upbringing. After a move to Canberra, we moved to
Batemans Bay on the NSW south coast when I was 10.

When I was 13 my parents divorced. My brother and I lived with my Mum. A few years later Mum had a new partner who she is now happily married to. I was a rebelious teen and
ended up having to go and live with my dad and aunt in Sydney. I left school at 16 and
started a career as a legal secretary.

I met my future husband at 17 while living a glam life going to heavy metal nightclubs in the Cross. We married at 21 and I was a mother at 22. My marriage ended in very hurtful circumstances when I was 25.

I went though a rough time in my own mind. Convincing myself I was worthless etc. Ifound
a certain amount of relief with new friends and the freedom and inspiration of psy trance,
but what I needed was to be outside of my existence to really assess and redesign myself
and my life. After alot of debate I went on an overseas adventure, fulfilling my passions for
all things Celtic, and really being able to be just me, not a wife, or an ex-wife or a mother. Thanks to that trip, and an amazingly special friend, I well and truly came back myself. Free
of the baggage and pain and confusion. I then went through another extremely painful and scary experience with regard to my daughter, however things panned out in the end.

Since then however, my daughter and I have moved closer to the city, I have a fantastic full
time job at Giant Steps Sydney helping kids with autism, and a great part time job at an
RSL. My daughter and I have an amazing relationship.

And I can honestly say, I am truly happy.
